Vintage hairstyle tutorial videos
Pin Curl videos:
You’re going to need to learn how to do pincurls to get most of these looks. Either pincurls, or get hot rollers. However, you can use the velcro rollers too, just get your hair damp before you roll your hair. I don’t reccomend you sleep on that. Always sleep on pillow rollers, pincurls, or rag rollers.
This is the video I learned from. It’s amazing. If you don’t get it from the video above, just search pin curl videos on youtube, you’ll get dozens.
- Lisa Freemont Street just made this tutorial, which also has a part two (you can find it on her channel. She’s amazing, so I’m sure it’s a good tutorial even if I haven’t seen it yet.
Actual Hairstyle videos:
Okay, so I picked some of my favorites, but also from different eras so that you could see how to achieve everything from finger waves to Marilyn Monroe hair.
So, you should really just look around Lisa Freemont Street’s Channel, and also some of Elegant Musing, although she does way different styles (I added her just in case). You’ll learn a lot about the beauty and style techniques of the era by looking through their youtubes. Lisa’s channel is especially good, and it’s a great starter. From there, I just suggest you look around! You’ll learn to be innovative as you get better and more used to it. I’ve only been doing this since Christmas xD
